" A study by Accenture showed that less than half of 750 consumers surveyed were pleased with the ease of purchasing via mobile. But it’s more than just buying online – mobile users expect a synergy between the in-store and online experience. Some of it is as simple as a store offering complimentary Wi-Fi or a more efficient way to quickly order an item that might be out of stock.
Thirty-nine percent of consumers said they would use a loyalty system to save on future purchases through in-store mobile phone offers and just under half said they wish they received promotions sent to their device in real time. Unfortunately, just 28 percent of retailers have the ability to do this. This point was further strengthened by the fact that of the tablet and mobile phone users who started their shopping journey’s on mobile, only 22 percent and 19 percent, respectively, were able to complete their purchase in the store..."
