This week, the "What's New" section of retailers' sites ushered in themes to expect this Spring + Summer. These trending items revolved around open-toe footwear and airy clothing. Without further adieu, here are this week's highlights!

Strappy Sandals

This season's sandals feature intricate crisscrosses, colorful palettes, thick or superfine "floss" straps, and more enticing details. The strappy trend compliments 2019 dress and skirt themes including wrap, linen, and slip designs. Single strap styles remain a staple release among retailers, while the heel height of this trend ranges from kitten up to four inches.

Organza

Organza is breathing new life into the assortment of brands like Forever 21, 7 for All Mankind, and Asos. Leaving its evening gown roots behind, the transparent material can be found constructing jackets, tops, and men's co-ord sets. Talk about a trendy upgrade!

Airy Dresses

Smocked

In addition to the airy trend, smocked tops and skirts are back from the 90's with a fresher feel. You'll find a variety of puff sleeve, strapless or thin straps on top, and a-line and layered skirts on bottom, like this week's introductions from Revolve and Urban Outfitters!

Blazers

Staying sharp in warmer weather is still a priority for the working man and woman. With brands inclduing Everlane or UntuckIt introducing cotton and linen blazer blends, these pieces are made to be breathable. You'll find women's styles crossing over into menswear, as the silhouette will often take on oversized or boyfriend structures.
